The disease caused by the SARS-Cov2 virus called COVID-19 has caused a serious epidemic around the world and  later defined as a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

We are the authorized distributer of the CE approved COVID-19 Real Time PCR Kit both in Europe and Africa, which detects the virus, by a COVID-19 agent, that is 100% sensitive and 100% specific giving results within 80 minutes. The sensitivity of the kit (Limit of Detection = LOD) is 1-10 copies / reaction.

We also provide Virus Inactivation Solution that can be used for the inactivated transport of enveloped and non-enveloped viruses and Viral RNA that extracts virus RNA with high sensitivity (1-10 copies / ml) within 25 minutes, which does not require spin column and / or phenol / chloroform.It comes with  an extraction kit.

We also have Inactivation and Transport Solution Kit,  that can be used to transport enveloped and non-enveloped viruses in an inactivated state, with high sensitivity (1-10 copies / ml) extracting   the virus RNA within 25 minutes. Principle of the kit

The System can detect RNA-dependent RNA polymerase gene (RdRp) and Nucleocapsid protein gene (N) regions of SARS-CoV-2 with high sensitivity and specificity .

Reverse Transcriptase component (M-MLV) of the kit is active at 42 °C, a half life of 230 minutes, and the activity of RNase H  is reduced. HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase enzyme is a mixture of enzyme and Anti-Taq monoclonal antibodies to ensure specificity and thermostability.

Buffer contains 0.2 mM of each dNTP and 3 mM MgCb. System can be used directly with DNA and RNA samples. During the PCR reaction, the DNA polymerase cleaves the probe at the 5′ end and separates the reporter dye from the quencher dye only when the probe hybridizes perfectly to the target DNA.

This cleavage results in the fluorescent signal which is monitored by Real-Time PCR detection system. An increase in the fluorescent signal is proportional to the amount of the specific PCR product.

Product specification

The kit provides reagents in a “ready-to-use” format for one step RT-PCR master mix which has been specifically adapted for cDNA and 5′ nuclease PCR. The test system is designed for use with sequence specific primers and probes.

The fluorescence of RdRp Gene is FAM dye and Nucleocapsid Gene is Texas RED dye. Also master mix contains an internal control labelled with HEX dye. Genes and related dyes can be seen in Table 1.

The limit of detection (LoD) in Covid-19 Real-Time PCR Kit was determined 1-10 copies/rxn.

The currently widely used procedure for COVID-19 testing involves:

a Collection of patient material and deposition of potential SARS-CoV-2 viral particles in transport medium. 

b Inactivation of the virus by detergent/chaotropic reagents or by heating. 

c RNA extraction. 

de Transfer to PCR-plate (96/384-well) format in which cDNA synthesis by RT and detection by qPCR may take place. Alternatively, detection can be made by sample barcoding and high-throughput DNA sequencing. 

fg Unlike the widely used approach, which includes an RNA extraction step (c) using industrial RNA extraction kits, direct sample testing circumvents this process by omitting extraction. Instead, after clinical samples are deposited in transport medium, viral particles are inactivated either through heating or by direct lysis in detergent-containing buffer. The inactivated samples are then used for the downstream RT-PCR diagnostic reaction.
